The main goal of reference services in libraries is to connect library users with the best available information for their research needs. It is very necessary that this connection is achieved in the most effective manner possible.
The reference staff are trained professionals who assist patrons in the use of print and electronic resources, provide help in finding information on a topic and can answer questions about library policies, services and facilities.
